IWA is organizing a special Meet and Greet session with the Director and lead cast of the Movie ‘Tikli and Laxmi Bomb‘(2017). The movie has won rare reviews and has Won the Best Feature at Berlin Independent Film Fest and Winner of the Best Film on Gender equality at UK Asian Film Festival, 2018.
It is an adaptation of a 2015 book, by the same name authored by the Director, Aditya Kripalani himself. It stars Suchitra Pillai, Chitrangada Chakraborty and Vibhawari Deshpande.
The film is about the unusual story of two sex workers who come together to run a co-operative and eliminate the middlemen in sex work.
The film has a mix of sarcasm, humor, pain and some gems of human psychology...it’s a “thinking womans” movie and the kind of movies we at IWA support .
