Ali's Wedding (110 mins) is a 2017 Australian romantic comedy feature film from Matchbox Pictures. It is directed by Jeffrey Walker and written by Osamah Sami and stars Sami, Helana Sawires, Don Hany and Ryan Corr. Based on real events, Ali's Wedding is an irreverent, warm-hearted comedy, and an affectionate and vivid portrait of Islamic life in Australia. Ali's Wedding premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival in October 2016. It won the Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor Award at the 7th Film AACTA Awards.
